Light Painting

Photo by Sam Winder and Indigo German-Shaw

So after lots of meetings and introductions at various events, one very eager student pressed for the first light painting session at Josephine Butler College. The response was, ‘how about Thursday’. So, the first impromptu night of glowing delights began. With the instructions of 'bring a camera of some kind and a light source' and then a very brief introduction to the principles of light painting and equipped with a few handy apps, we ventured out. It was a loose and playful evening that brought about much laughter. We produced some lovely group shots, some more structured images and I even managed to sneak in a few ad hoc portraits along the way. Lee was also lurking with his sound recorder so we’re sure to see them transmute into a poetic form of some kind, so keep your ear to the ground. Sign up to our newsletter for dates of the next light painting session. We have big plans.
